The office drives corporate governance, operational excellence, policy implementation, and cross-functional coordination while supporting organizational growth, innovation, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Through its specialized sections, the CEO’s Office ensures efficient internal operations and alignment with MEDS’ mission, vision, and strategic objectives
1. Human Resources & Administration (HR&A)
The Human Resources & Administration Section is responsible for managing MEDS’ human capital and administrative support services. The department plays a critical role in attracting, developing, and retaining a competent workforce while promoting a positive organizational culture and operational efficiency.
The department oversees recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, staff welfare, policy implementation, records management, and administrative services. It also ensures compliance with labor laws and organizational HR policies while supporting employee engagement and institutional effectiveness.
Through strategic workforce planning and people-centered practices, the department contributes to MEDS’ mission by ensuring the organization has the right talent, systems, and work environment to deliver high-quality healthcare supply chain solutions.

2. Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
The ICT Section provides the technological infrastructure and digital solutions that support MEDS’ operational efficiency, communication, data management, and innovation initiatives.
The department is responsible for maintaining secure and reliable information systems, enterprise applications, networks, cybersecurity frameworks, hardware and software infrastructure, and user support services across the organization. ICT also supports digital transformation initiatives that enhance supply chain operations, reporting, customer service, and institutional decision-making.
By leveraging modern technology solutions, the department enables MEDS to improve efficiency, transparency, responsiveness, and business continuity in healthcare supply chain management.

The department is responsible for contract management, legal advisory, policy review, regulatory compliance, corporate governance support, risk mitigation, and dispute management. It also supports the organization in maintaining compliance with healthcare, procurement, labor, and corporate regulatory requirements.
By strengthening governance and compliance structures, the department contributes to organizational integrity, transparency, and sustainable operations.

The Kisumu Branch serves as MEDS’ regional operational hub for Western Kenya and surrounding regions. The branch supports decentralized service delivery and ensures efficient distribution of health products and technologies to healthcare facilities within its area of coverage.
The branch coordinates warehousing, order fulfillment, customer support, logistics, quality assurance, and operational support services while ensuring alignment with organizational policies and strategic priorities from the headquarters.
The Kisumu Branch plays a vital role in strengthening healthcare access by ensuring timely and reliable supply chain services to mission hospitals, faith-based organizations, public institutions, and private healthcare providers.
