Rt. Rev. Charles Kaskan Asilutwa is a distinguished church leader, healthcare governance professional, and advocate for faith-based health systems in Kenya. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors at MEDS (Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies), providing strategic leadership and governance oversight for the organization’s mission to deliver quality, affordable, and reliable health products and technologies across Kenya and the region.

Rt. Rev. Asilutwa is the Bishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Maseno North, having been consecrated and enthroned on 10 June 2018. In his episcopal ministry, he has championed spiritual leadership, community development, education, and healthcare initiatives within the church and society.

He also serves in leadership roles within the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK), where he has been instrumental in advancing partnerships between faith-based organizations and government institutions to strengthen healthcare systems and promote Universal Health Coverage (UHC). His contributions have supported advocacy efforts, health systems strengthening, and strategic collaboration among healthcare stakeholders in Kenya.

Under his leadership at MEDS, the organization has continued to expand its impact in pharmaceutical supply chain management, quality assurance, and regional humanitarian health support. He has played a key role in initiatives such as the launch of the MEDS ultra-modern microbiology laboratory and collaborations supporting healthcare access in underserved communities.

Rt. Rev. Asilutwa is widely recognized for his commitment to ethical leadership, institutional stewardship, and strengthening faith-based healthcare delivery in Kenya and beyond.

Rt. Rev. Norman King’oo Wambua

Rt. Rev. Norman King’oo Wambua is a distinguished Catholic Church leader and healthcare governance professional serving as a Trustee and Director at MEDS (Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies). In this capacity, he contributes to the strategic leadership and governance of the organization, supporting MEDS’ mission of providing quality, affordable, and reliable health products and technologies across Kenya and the region.

He is currently the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Machakos, a position he has held since August 2018 following his appointment by Pope Francis. Prior to this, he served as Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Bungoma for two decades, from 1998 to 2018, demonstrating extensive pastoral, administrative, and institutional leadership experience within the Catholic Church in Kenya.

Born in Makueni County, Kenya, Rt. Rev. Wambua pursued his priestly and theological formation at Saint Augustine Senior Seminary in Mabanga and St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Nairobi. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1988 for the Diocese of Lodwar before later being appointed Bishop in 1998 by Pope John Paul II.

Throughout his ministry, Rt. Rev. Wambua has championed faith-based healthcare, ethical leadership, education, and community development. He has actively advocated for stronger collaboration among faith-based health institutions to improve healthcare delivery and strengthen sustainable health systems in Kenya.

In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, he has played an active role within the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and other church-led initiatives that support social transformation, healthcare access, and institutional development. His leadership is widely recognized for promoting servant leadership, collaboration, and compassionate community engagement.

Rev. Dr. Robert Lang’at

Rev. Dr. Robert Lang’at is a respected church leader, educator, and governance professional with extensive experience in theological education, institutional leadership, and faith-based healthcare governance in Kenya. He serves as a Trustee and Director at MEDS (Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies), where he contributes to strategic oversight and supports the organization’s mission of enhancing access to quality, affordable, and reliable health products and technologies across Kenya and the region.

Rev. Dr. Lang’at has served in senior leadership roles within the Africa Gospel Church (AGC) and is widely recognized for his contribution to theological training, pastoral leadership, and institutional development. He has also been actively involved in Christian higher education and governance, supporting initiatives focused on leadership development, ethics, and community transformation within faith-based organizations in Kenya. 

In addition to his ecclesiastical leadership, Rev. Dr. Lang’at has contributed to the strengthening of faith-based healthcare systems through collaboration with healthcare institutions, churches, and development partners. His leadership emphasizes integrity, servant leadership, strategic stewardship, and sustainable institutional growth. Through his governance roles, he has supported initiatives that promote healthcare access, organizational excellence, and holistic community wellbeing.

Rt. Rev. Joseph Wasonga

Rt. Rev. Joseph Wasonga is a distinguished church leader and governance professional with extensive experience in faith-based leadership, community development, and institutional stewardship in Kenya. He serves as a Trustee and Director at MEDS (Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies), where he contributes to strategic governance and oversight in support of MEDS’ mission to provide quality, affordable, and reliable health products and technologies across Kenya and the region.

Rt. Rev. Wasonga is the Bishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese of Mumias, a role in which he has demonstrated strong leadership in pastoral ministry, education, healthcare advocacy, and community empowerment. Through his episcopal ministry, he has championed initiatives that promote social transformation, ethical leadership, and strengthened collaboration between faith-based institutions and public service sectors.

In addition to his ecclesiastical responsibilities, Rt. Rev. He has held senior leadership roles within the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK), contributing to episcopal ministry focused on pastoral care, church growth, education, and social transformation. Through his leadership, he has supported initiatives that strengthen collaboration between the church, government, and development partners in advancing community wellbeing and sustainable development.

Within the faith-based health sector, Rt. Rev. Mbatia has been associated with efforts aimed at strengthening healthcare governance, improving service delivery systems, and supporting access to essential medicines through structured supply chain and institutional partnerships.
